Meyan
Care guide.
Good fabric deserves to be looked after. Every piece you own from Meyan was chosen or handcrafted to last — these instructions will help it do exactly that.
Cutdana pieces
These are not fast fashion pieces. Treat them accordingly.
The Sitara Skirt and Noor Pearl Dress are beaded by hand — one bead, one pearl at a time. No machine can replicate that work, and no dry cleaner should be trusted with it. Do not dry clean. Dry cleaning solvents loosen the threads that hold cutdana and hand-placed beadwork in place. Once they go, they cannot be restored.
Spot clean embellishments only with a damp cloth. For the base fabric, gentle hand wash cold in still water — no wringing, no twisting, no soaking. Lay flat to dry in shade.

for every piece
Wash less, wear more.
Most pieces don't need washing after every wear. Air them out, spot clean where needed, and wash only when necessary. Your fabric will thank you.
Turn it inside out.
Washing inside out protects surface texture, embellishments, and colour. It takes two seconds and adds months to the life of a garment.
Store with space.
Crushed fabric loses its drape. Hang structured pieces. Fold knits flat. Give everything a little room, and it will hold its shape longer.
Iron with intention.
Always use a pressing cloth or iron on reverse. Start with a low temperature and increase only if needed. Never iron directly over embellishments, trims, or cutdana work.
